Kenya: Studying Court Management and Leadership

From August 6 to 13, 2016, NCSC hosted a delegation from the Kenyan Judiciary at its International Division office in Arlington, Virginia, and headquarters in Williamsburg, Virginia.

The delegation included judges, registrars and court technology staff from across Kenya. While in Arlington, the delegation learned about the mission and structure of NCSC, and received training on the Federal and State Court systems in the United States. The delegation also had the opportunity to visit the Superior Court of the District of Columbia, where they observed court proceedings and were able to meet with judges and court staff.

At the NCSC headquarters in Williamsburg, the delegation received training on caseflow management, court leadership and strategic planning, court technology, alternative dispute resolution, and court workload assessment.

NCSC regularly hosts international delegations at its offices in the United States and we invite you to contact us should you wish to discuss the possibility of scheduling a visit. For more information on training programs offered by NCSC, please visit http://www.ncsc.org/Education-and-Careers.aspx.
