Bangladesh: Strengthening Rule of Law Program

In September 2018, NCSC was awarded a grant by the U.S. Department of State, Counterterrorism Bureau, to strengthen the capacity of Bangladeshi judges to manage and adjudicate terrorism cases and complex financial crimes. The program will increase awareness of international best practices, deliver training to judges, and improve case management and scheduling for the adjudication of terrorism cases and complex financial crimes. The program will implement technical assistance and training in close coordination with the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, the Judicial Administration Training Institute, and special courts established to adjudicate terrorism and money laundering cases in Dhaka, Chattogram, Rajshahi, and Sylhet.

The program is funded by the U.S. Department of State’s Counterterrorism Bureau. Click here for more information on NCSC in Bangladesh.
