Uganda: Sharing Experiences in Legal Aid Service Delivery

USAID’s Supporting Access to Justice, Fostering Equity and Peace (SAFE) Program in Uganda will be featured in a February 2015 discussion of the Great Lakes Policy Forum, to be held in Washington, D.C.

NCSC Chief of Party, Jennifer Ober, the director of the Kampala-based SAFE Program, will discuss initiatives that have activated legal aid services, and detail the results of efforts made by the SAFE Program to improve outcomes for marginalized groups.

The Great Lakes Policy Forum is a platform where Government, NGOs, academics, and the Diaspora come together to search for solutions to the region’s conflicts. The Forum is presented by some of the leading NGO and academic voices on the Great Lakes in the Washington, D.C. area. More about the Great Lakes Policy Forum is available here.

USAID’s SAFE Program in Uganda is implemented by NCSC in partnership with Search for Common Ground and numerous local grantees and community based groups that are dedicated to improving access to justice and promoting peaceful resolution of disputes in the country.
