Uganda, November 2013: Empowering Local Justice Innovators

In November 2013, NCSC initiated a large-scale, multi-year grant-making initiative that will provide funding to local Ugandan organizations and community groups who present promising approaches to improving land administration, increasing access to services, promoting land rights awareness, and facilitating peaceful resolution of conflicts.

To ensure that program funds achieve their desired impact, NCSC is working closely with local partner organizations to design and scale initiatives, to monitor and evaluate progress, and to capture innovative approaches for expansion and replication elsewhere.

USAID’s Supporting Access to Justice, Fostering Equity & Peace (SAFE) Program in Uganda is a five-year initiative that seeks to improve the administration of justice and promote peaceful resolution of conflicts.
