Morocco: Management Training Program Expands

Beginning in November 2019, NCSC began replicating its successful management training program, initially delivered to personnel of the Ministry of Justice in Rabat, Morocco, at the regional level. To date, 84 staff of Regional Offices and court clerks have received training on leadership and on conflict management in three sessions organized in Tangier, Fes, and Casablanca.

The Head of the Training Department at the MOJ’s HR Directorate noted that these trainings provide opportunities to share best practices and to cross-fertilize ideas among attendees from different regions, allowing for transfers that will benefit all directorates. Participants were enthusiastic about the training, many noting that it was the first time in their career such an opportunity had been provided to strengthen their management capacity. Satisfaction levels were recorded at 95%, higher than the average satisfaction across all trainings delivered since January 2018 (84%). A Regional Director from Casablanca noted “We hope to be able to attend such trainings in the future. The approach and methodology are great.”

The Justice Sector Management Training Program is implemented by NCSC and funded by the U.S. Department of State’s International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs Bureau (INL).
