Honduras: Improving Outcomes for Young People

In November 2015, NCSC was awarded a three-year cooperative agreement by the U.S. Department of State Bureau for International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) to support efforts to counter violence and promote resilient communities through Gang-Resistance Education and Training.

NCSC is working together with long-standing partner, the Federation of Non-Governmental Organizations for the Development of Honduras (FOPRIDEH), and CARITAS to implement the program in Tegucigalpa and in communities throughout the country, in partnership with justice sector actors, community leaders and young people. INL’s effort to counter gang violence is part of the comprehensive assistance strategy to support justice and citizen security in Honduras and neighboring countries.
