Kosovo, September 2012: Enhancing the Legal Profession

Professional Panel Series held for Pristina law students

On September 28, NCSC and the University of Pristina Law Faculty Career Development Center held the first of many meetings for students as part of its Professional Panel Series.  The Panel was entitled, “How to become a Judge or Prosecutor?” Panelists included Judge Florent Latifi, Prosecutor Elez Blakaj, and Besim Morina, Head of the Kosovo Judicial Institute’s Initial Legal Education Program. Students from bachelor and masters level degree programs attended the event, which is part of an on-going effort to strengthen career services and professional opportunities for law students. Through Professional Panel Series events, legal professionals will offer advice directly to students and discuss the various entry points for careers in the justice system and other professions.

NCSC’s work with the University of Pristina Faculty of Law is made possible by USAID through its Kosovo Legal Profession Program. More information on the Kosovo Legal Profession Program can be found through the program website at www.justice-ks.org.
